Product Description & Reviews

LEA Symbols translucent distance chart for 10ft/3m. LEA Symbols are evidence-based optotypes for screening the vision of children ages 3 through 5 years or before children comfortably know their letters, such as those in preschool or kindergarten programs.  LEA Symbols are also appropriate for adults who cannot participate in screening with numbers or letters.    LEA Symbols are the only pediatric optotypes that blur equally at threshold, meaning at the point where children or adults cannot distinguish one optotype from another, the optotypes look the same, which prevents guessing. The optotypes were calibrated against the Landolt C, the international standard.   The LEA Symbols 13-Line chart set comes with the visual acuity chart, a response panel and 4 individual cards that can be used for familiarizing the child or adult with the screening task or for matching.   LEA Symbols distance chart contains proportional spaced line sizes from 20/100 to 20/8 (6/30 to 6/2.4) equivalent. Chart, response panel, and individual cards are screen printed and UV coated for durability.
